Our teachers have continued to be amazing this past year with all the changes that have been made in our daily lives due to COVID.

September 30, 2022 is the National Day for Truth a September 30, 2022 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day honours the stolen children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. It is a public commemoration of this horrific, tragic and painful part of Canadian history.

Here's a few things you can do to support the spirit and intent of this day:

• Wear an orange shirt and learn the significance of this gesture.
• Read the 94 calls to action in the Truth and Reconciliation Final Report released in 2015.
• Take the time to learn about the history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
• Learn how to acknowledge the land we live on.
• Create and support spaces for Indigenous Peoples to speak and listen to what they're saying.

We encourage our staff, students and followers to take this time to reflect, learn, mourn and support the voices that need to be heard.
