Course name: University Bridging Program (UBP)
Location: Online via ZOOM
Schedule: 8 Weeks, Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm (AST)

Our UBP course is designed for students that want to attend an English-speaking post-secondary institution. Students must pass the UBP entrance test to take this course. The course lasts eight weeks. Students work on general and academic English skills as well as post-secondary-specific skills such as research and referencing. On passing UBP, students may proceed directly to one of our pathway institutions in Canada or apply to any other post-secondary program.

• This promotional price can only be used for new registrations for HLICs online 8 week UBP course starting May 1.

Q:  What is the minimum length of study for obtaining a study visa?
A: In order to be granted a Canadian study visa, a student must be enrolled at HLIC for at least 6 months.

Q:  Does HLIC offer part-time English programs?
A: Yes. HLIC currently offers a part-time program for our UBP course. This course covers the same material as the full-time program. The study hours per week are (12.5), half of the full-time program. This course is 16 weeks. Of those 12.5 hours, 10.5 are live, in-person time. The other 2.5 hours per week consist of asynchronous study modules and access to office hours with the instructor.
It meets from 6:30 pm - 10 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

These days/times may be adjusted based on the scheduling needs of enrolled students.
